Geological maps available on the "download maps" section can be downloaded in PDF format. On the other hand, you can access to the VISIR application of the ICC from the geological cartography section. This viewer is used both to view and to download geological maps at 1:250 000 and 1:50 000 scale. Once inside the VISIR, the steps to follow are the next ones:
- Make a search (simple or complex) of the place name being searched (for example: Olot). Or do a visual search through the map.
- Choose one result from the list (ex.: Olot | Region | Garrotxa).
- In the new window opened, select the map you want to see (for example: topographical map 1:10 000).
- To get the same as seen in your screen, click the Download scene section, as size as you want: 800x548, 1024x701 or 2048x1403 pixels (some versions of Windows and Internet Explorer always fail and you get an image of the upper left).

To print correctly the scale of the downloaded map in PDF format, it¿s necessary to look up the document properties to ascertain its dimensions. Then we must determine the size of the print with the same dimensions of the map. It is fair to say that a complete map occupy several pages in A4 or A3 size unless you have a plotter printer.
You need to enter the home page in the "Download Map" section. There is a list of all the published maps indicating year of publication and edition number. You can also browse the list of publications of the ICC showing, inter alia, the maps of the IGC. This catalogue is published annually.
The ICC sells and distributes geological maps of the IGC. To purchase these maps you need to contact the Sales centers: the ICC store, EADOP stores or other distribution centers. In this link you will find the addresses of these ICC Sales centers where you can purchase maps in print size.
To see the work in any particular area you may consult the publications catalogue or the "download maps" section. As for other types of studies contact the webmaster.
From the home page there is a link "Have you seen a snow avalanche?" To access the reported avalanches questionnaire. This questionnaire is very useful to improve the study and prevention of snow avalanches.
From the home page there is a link "Have you felt an earthquake?" To access the reported individual macroseismic questionnaire. This questionnaire is very useful to enhance the studies and assess the degree of earthquakes intensity.
From the home page there is a link that leads to recent earthquake section. There is a link enter to the historical announcements of earthquakes felt by the population. Moreover, it can also be useful to consult the map of local earthquakes for the past 30 days, accessible also from the recent earthquake section.
