Graphic interface of the map catalogGeoindex is the instrument, created by Decree 168/2009 of 3 November, partial deployment of the Law 19/2005 of December 27, the Geological Institute of Catalonia, through which the IGC data collected in a systematic way and geological documentation, soil and, in general, geothematic and risk directly generated by the IGC and makes it available to users for consultation.
Geoindex allows searching, viewing, and the request for information about groups of data sets that integrate IGC databases from a set of viewers and geoservices.
Geoíndex is part of the Documentation Centre and Archive Geological Survey (CEDAG).
Viewers facilitate the consultation of geoinformation metadata described in the data. We present specialized versions for each type of data (hazards, maps, data, ...), but you can see all the layers simultaneously. In addition to basic functions, each display can be complemented with new layers of other specific displays IGC, with the option "WMS" To connect amb WMS server, you can select capes to call and add other outer layers indicating the URL for the WMS. However, you can also add URLs addresses of these services IGC (see WMS service metadata) to other customers to view user's own.
Viewers have been prepared for the browsers Chrome, Mozilla FireFox and Internet Explorer 8.0.
